About Me

I’m Maya! a freelance character illustrator from Texas currently living in North Carolina.
I am self taught with a lifelong appreciation for the visual arts.In 2021 I experienced major changes to my eye sight that prompted me to leave my corporate job and dedicate my life completely to creating art while I still have the ability to.My art is heavily inspired by comic illustration and explores themes of body diversity, kink, and feminine sensuality. I believe that seeing diverse bodies portrayed as desirable is essential for fostering a healthy relationship with ourselves and our sexuality. I'm creating the art that I needed when I was younger.When I'm not working in my home studio you can find me with my geriatric chihuahua watching true crime, playing video games, spending too much time in a book store or finding inspiration by exploring new places.
